Here are some things that we wanted to add to our reviews this week:

MY BOYS

*GOOD QUOTE*

PJ, Kenny, ect. (to Mike): "Of all of the crazy things that you have claimed 'I could be mayor', 'I could land a jet', 'I could find Bin Laden', that might be the craziest."

VERONICA MARS

*GOOD QUOTE*

Troy (to Veronica who is changing her tire): "Flat?"
Veronica: "Just as God made me."

Troy: "Screw pride, let's dance, baby, let's dance."
Wallace: "That was beautiful, man".

Veronica: "You know, dad, I'm old school; and eye for an eye."
Keith "I think that's actually Old Testament"

FIREFLY

*GOOD QUOTE*

Mal: "Now you're only gonna scare him."
Jayne: "Pain is scary."

Thanks for listening!

TV Weekly Episode 5 - The Mosby

Our fifth episode is up! You can download it off iTunes or listen to it directly here:

TV Weekly Episode 5

This week we reviewed How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, My Boys, Glee, and Ugly Betty.

We also talked about upfronts where we discussed the renewals of Friday Night Lights, Chuck, Dollhouse, and more.

For those of you who were wondering what we were going to do during the summer, (I was included among your ranks) we have decided to review older shows along with the few new shows we watch during that time. We are already thinking of reviewing Firefly and Veronica Mars but we were hoping to hear which shows you guys would like us to review. If you have any suggestions, comment here or send us an email at televisionweekly@gmail.com.

Here are some things that we wanted to add to our reviews this week:

MY BOYS

*GOOD QUOTE*

PJ (about Andy): "I know you're new here but feel free to be embarrassed for him"

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

*STATEMENT CORRECTION*

Leslie: The mother was in Ted's class at Columbia, not Ted's mother. If it was Ted's mother, this would have been a very different show =/.

UGLY BETTY

*GOOD QUOTES*

Mark: "Normally I don't like or notice older people but that was interesting".

Amanda (on Betty leaving Mode) "It would be like losing an elderly aunt that I'm sort of fond of"

DOLLHOUSE

*A CELEBRATION*

It was renewed! It was renewed! Wooohooooo!! (We already celebrated a bit on the show but it bears repeating).

Thanks for listening!

TV Weekly Episode 4 - Mouse Rat

Our fourth episode is now up. You can download it off iTunes or listen to it directly here:

TV Weekly Episode 4

This week we talked about 10 TV shows ( The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, House, My Boys, Lost, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Parks and Recreation, and The Office).

We also talked about some TV news where we mention stuff about shows like Dollhouse, Friday Night Lights and Chuck.

We only have a comment or two to add this week:

PARKS AND RECREATION

*GOOD QUOTE*

Mark (On the fact that he was able to lower a speed bump by two inches): "Apparently what I can achieve in government can literally be measured."

GREY'S ANATOMY

*MAKING COUNT VON COUNT PROUD*

Zack Gilford from Friday Night Lights guest stared on the show this week. I mentioned in the podcast that several of the actors from Friday Night Lights have been guest stars. So far, these are the ones I can think of: Kyle Chandler (Eric Taylor), Aasha Davis (Waverly Grady), Kevin Rankin (Herc), Jesse Plemons (Landry Clark), and Derek Phillips (Billy Riggins). Comment if you can think of anyone else :).
Number of FNL people on Grey's Anatomy: 6.

LOST

*STATEMENT CORRECTION*

Leslie: I meant to say that the force that killed Jacob could take the form of (not possess) anyone who dies.

We'll see you guys next week!

TV Weekly Episode 3 - Laundry Day

Our third episode is now up. You can download our podcast off iTunes or listen to it directly here:

This week we talked about 13 shows (Sit Down Shut Up, The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, House, My Boys, Scrubs, Lost, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Parks and Recreation, The Office and Dollhouse).

Here are some things that we want to add to our reviews and opinions:

THE BIG BANG THEORY

*QUICK RECAP*

Minoti: In case you didn't get it - We have the plastic things for Pizza boxes in India. It bears repeating. Just saying...

*GOOD QUOTE*

Raj: "If you want to clean up your karma, go get my frickin' latte."

HOUSE

*WORD CORRECTION*

Minoti: It's anti-climactic not anti-climatic. Thanks, Leslie :)

UGLY BETTY

*BABES AND BABIES*

Minoti: Remember when we talked about how everyone is pregnant these days? Well, we just realized that Ana Ortiz who plays Hilda on Ugly Betty is pregnant too. Kind of funny since this weeks episode was about babies.

PARKS AND RECREATION

*STATEMENT CORRECTION*

Leslie: I meant to say that Leslie is always talking about the founders of Pawnee being killed (she's not referring to random people).

DOLLHOUSE

*GOOD QUOTES*

Topher: "Why is there a tall, morally judgmental man in my imprint room besides him (Boyd)?"

Topher: "I'm smarter than everyone else in this room... but less scary."

TV Weekly Episode 2 - Texty Text

Our second episode is now up! You can download our podcast off iTunes, but here's the link to our RSS feed if you want to listen to it directly:

TV Weekly Episode 2

This week we talked about 13 TV Shows (
The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, Heroes, Chuck, House, My Boys, Lost, Ugly Betty, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, The Office and Dollhouse).

PRIVATE PRACTICE

*THE JOY OF POO*

Leslie: It has been called to my attention that some people might not know what the word defecate means so I decided to post Merriam-Webster’s definition of the word on this blog:

Defecate:
transitive verb
1. to free from impurity or corruption
2. to discharge from the anus

intransitive verb
3. to discharge feces from the bowels

Thank you.

(Okay, I figured that everyone knew what the word meant, I just feel that every blog should mention feces at least once.)

PARKS & RECREATION

*THE REASON FOR THE SWINE FLU*

Leslie: Hmm, that teaser was Leslie Knope all over. She starts out trying to get the teenagers to stop throwing poo and then ends up throwing it back at them.

(Okay, I only mentioned the scene because it had poo in it. I just feel that every blog should mention feces at least twice.)

*AND I’M FREE, FREE BALLIN’*

Leslie: Andy’s reaction to having his boom box (with twelve new batteries) stolen? Well, he does what all of us would do, he runs after the thief while he’s completely naked, of course. The reactions from his neighbors were priceless.

THE BIG BANG THEORY

*AN ODD TANGENT*

Leslie: I realized last week that I missed one Leslie in my list of Leslies on TV. Leslie Winkle from The Big Bang Theory. We at the TV Weekly podcast would like to formally apologize to Bill Prady, Chuck Lorre, and anyone else who was hurt by such an omission. Leslies on TV count: 3!

*GOOD QUOTE*

Sheldon: “Okay, I’m sleepy now get out.”

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

*GOOD QUOTE*

Barney: “Could you repeat that? I don’t speak ‘I never get laid’”

CHUCK

*GOOD QUOTE*

“How do you spell begonia?”

UGLY BETTY

*GOOD QUOTE*

Matt: “Mom’s an Easter egg, hard on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. My dad is like... Satan”.

Hope you guys enjoyed the episode!
